eric-it's 415am. just saw dave off to work for the week. its always so hard when he has to go. this weekend was so busy as they all have been here lately. its rainy outside and for someone reason when it rains i miss you more than usual. i also worry about dave driving three hours in the rain and being tired. keep him safe baby bro. 
alot going on in the family and life here lately. 
tracy's going to have a baby girl. how exciting. (wonder how big brother will like that now that he won't be and only grandchild) i can't wait.
me, getting ready to quit working and head to college. dave and i have decided that it be best if i not work for a while, while attening fhsu. driving back and forth will get old but i don't want to leave my house. i can't change to much at once or everything will fall apart.
mom and dad carrying on as usual. mom killing herself trying to keep everyone happy and content. 
and thats just the beginning.
its pretty neat how i can lay in bed and be on the internet at the same time. (thanks mom for the labtop) 
i got on because it's raining, and like i said it always makes me miss you more than usual. also asking you to watch over my hubby as he drives to work this morning.
eric, i don't know how i have done it but i have. it sure has not been easy. i miss you with all my heart.

It's been a while now since you've been gone but it seems like no matter where I am in this world people still love and remember you (and Darren). Even here in Wichita, I still get reminders that you'll never be forgotten. No one will ever be quite like you were and I'll miss you forever. Me and Shane are gonna name the baby after you. Trinity Raye for a girl and Braydon Ray for a boy!  Whadya think?  I can only imagine if you were here the hell you'd be givin' me about getting fat and stuff.  Know that I still find pennies, always heads up, on the ground around here. Yeah, I get your message. I know you will be spending the day with your homies in heaven. What a joy that must be. 
I think back to when were we were little kids. The fun crazy stuff we would do. You were always my little brother though. If someone would ask who you were people would say Tracy and Marcys little brother. But today people still say that Erics sister. You were the man Eric!!
I am not going to be sad on your Birthday. I know you would not want that at all. I am going to celebrate and have a good time doing whatever I want to do. 
It was 2 years ago on June 22nd that we all made the memorial on the side of the highway. You know some of those full beer cans are still there. I think thats pretty cool. Dad has made alot of improvements to it since then. It looks great. I would not have it any other way!
I hope you have a wonderful Birthday in Heaven. Remember to let us know your with us for a while too.

Parable of the Twins

Once upon a time, twin boys were conceived in the same womb. Weeks passed, and the twins developed. As their awareness grew, they laughed for joy: "Isn't it great that we were conceived? Isn't it great to be alive?"

Together the twins explored their world. When they found their mother's cord that gave them life, they sang for joy: "How great is our mother's love that she shares her own life with us!"

As weeks stretched into months the twins noticed how much each other was changing. "What does it mean?" asked the one. "It means that our stay in this world is drawing to an end," said the other one. "But I don't want to go," said the other one. "I want to stay here always. ""We have no choice," said the other. "But maybe there is life after birth!" "But how can there be?" responded the one. "We will shed our life cord, and how is life possible without it? Besides, we have seen evidence that others were here before us, and none of them have returned to tell us that there is life after birth. No, this is the end."

And so the one fell into deep despair, saying, "If conception ends in birth, what is the purpose of life in the womb? It's meaningless! Maybe there is no mother after all." "But there has to be," protested the other. "How else did we get here? How do we remain alive?"

"Have you ever seen our mother?" said the one. "Maybe she lives only in our minds. Maybe we made her up because the idea made us feel good."

And so the last days in the womb were filled with deep questioning and fear until finally the moment of birth arrived.

When the twins had passed from their world, they opened their eyes and they cried. For what they saw exceeded their fondest dreams.

You made me want to have boys.  I thought if I could be half the mom you were I was doin good.  I want my boys to love me the way Eric loved you.  I remember one time Eric was mad and you two weren't talking because of what a girl said you said.  You told me about it at Casey's, and it was killing you that Eric would believe that.  I went straight to Eric's when I got off work to "fix things".   Eric was in tears.... a grown man.....over his mom.  He knew he was wrong.  I don't know what he would've done without you.  He hated to disappoint you.  He didn't talk to Marcy for 2 wks once because he thought she was told you things he would tell you himself.  But he was trying so hard and he didn't want you to think any different.  He could always trust you with anything without being judged.  I remember him calling me just to say "the roses I sent made my mom cry.  I didn't think they'd mean that much!"  I said of course they are from her son.  Be proud of the mother that you are.  I will always admire and respect you for all you've done for you kids and grandkid.  You helped me be the mother I am today.  Thank you!
